Dynamic Memory Allocator

• Designed and implemented a thread-safe heap memory allocator library providing a full allocation API (malloc, calloc, realloc, free), portable across both 32-bit and 64-bit systems.
• Implemented free-list–based memory management with block splitting and constant-time coalescing, using minimal in-block metadata overhead to reduce fragmentation.
• Managed memory obtained from the OS in page-aligned arenas, and ensured that all allocated memory blocks are 8-byte aligned for compatibility.
• Supported configurable allocation policies: first-fit by default, and can be changed to best-fit.
